Home made infrared receiver

Overview

USB-IR-Boy is LIRC compatible USB bus infrared receiver hardware using Motorola MC68HC908 MCU.

This project aims to be the new standard home made IR receiver with low cost for all PC hardware that has USB.
New PC hardware do not necessarily include RS232 port anymore and use of standard RS232 port IR hardware is not anymore possible.
Project covers GPL lisenced complete system including electornic scemantics, MCU program and lircd compatible kernel module.

Status

- Product version is 0.3
- Firmware and kernel module are both quite stable.
- MCU code is till compiled with Codewarrior due problems to produce working binary using SDCC
- Up to date status can be reviewed from Sourceforge project pages
